Stacked Wonky is a charitable organisation supported by business, grants and private donations

We work with integrity and determination to stretch every penny we receive.

By donating today, you’re easing the pressure we experience to fund running costs - that’s everything it takes to exist and maintain an HQ. It’s one of the most helpful things you can do!

Why invest in us?

Performance

We want to become a centre of excellence for performance-making in the South West. Help us become a brilliant outpost.

Our animation of wild, vital and unassuming places in West Somerset has a positive impact on audience engagement.

Over 60% of those attending define themselves as first-time performance goers.

In 2022/23, We Come Before You, devised and performed by our Academy kids, sold out at six Somerset venues.

35% of those watching were kids, providing vital light-bulb moments of inspiration and connection.

Since 2015, we have provided up to
20 opportunities for local kids to join our professional casts.

8 of the 20 performers audiences encountered in The Landings were
aged under 13.

Education

We are educational pioneers, nationally recognised by the likes of Pavilion Dance South West and the National Youth Dance Company. With your help, we can continue to innovate.

We invest in your kids and grandkids, enabling them to unleash their best creative selves.

40% of our current Academy kids, families and carers have journeyed with us for over 3 years.

Over 50% of those attending our Academies are boys, upending a national trend. Generally, girls outnumber boys 3 to 1 in the uptake of performing arts provision.

Community

We seek to shine brightly for our locale, building pride and possibility. Our high street HQ is located in a rural community of 2,500, in a district often quoted as having the lowest Social Mobility Index ranking in the country. Despite this, we rise.

Doesn’t every high street and rural economy deserve an arts organisation? It’s brought us into immediate contact with our community’s struggles and wishes, and we’ve responded with vigour.
