A walk into her world
Ada Lovelace loved Ashley Combe, a house and extensive garden surrounded by temperate rainforest above Porlock Weir: her letters express a freedom to imagine, experiment and roam.
She wasn’t just a mathematician, she was a risk-taker, rider, poet, young mother, correspondent and someone whose health was failing.
She wrote, “I am absolutely afraid of nothing.”
The house is gone, the garden disappearing.
Come into the woods with us - stretch your imagination to find her.
